1. Introduction

You are currently reading the privacy statement of The Right Advice B.V. The websites www.therightadvice.nl, www.therightriskmanagement.nl, www.therightcompliance.nl, www.therightquality.nl, and www.therighttraining.nl are the property of The Right Advice.

For various reasons we may collect your data. We think it is important that you know how we handle these data and how you can indicate your wishes around the usage of your data.

2. Target data

Personal data is collected by our office for a number of purposes. These are explained below.

a. Sending newsletters

Our office will send invitations and newsletters via email. These newsletters are commercially and on the other hand focused on knowledge sharing.

b. Contact form

Your data will be collected if you contact our office via the website. However, this form only prompts you for the necessary information to provide a proposal or a service, such as your name, email address, phone number, and question.

c. Google Analytics

The website of our office collects your data to improve the website. This is done with Google Analytics. This information is anonymous and is not bound to your personal data. Think of information such as the duration of your website visit or the pages you visit a lot.
All data will only be processed with your explicit consent or for the performance of the agreements that are entered into, or because processing is necessary to bring you into contact with potential relationships and/or contractors.

d. Providing training

During our services regarding the provision of training in some cases we ask you to provide your personal data. These include, for example, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, title and membership number of professional organisations and are used:

  • To make the training technically possible
  • To provide you with login details for participation in the training
  • To invite you to fill out a questionnaire after completing the training by e-mail to ask your opinion about the training
  • To evaluate the training
  • For administrative purposes

3. Recipients

The data that our office receives and processes is managed by:

a. Email provider

Our office e-mail is hosted with an external email provider. If you contact via the forms or via e-mail, those e-mails will be stored on the servers of our e-mail provider.

b. Website hosting

The website and back-ups of the website are hosted by a third party. Data that you leave on the website of our office is stored on the servers of this party.

c. Cloud services

The data storage of our office is hosted on external cloud services. Data that you leave behind can be stored on the servers of these parties.

4. Storage period

Your data will be retained for a long time by our office, but never longer than necessary for the execution of activities, unless we are required to keep your data longer under a statutory regulation.

a. Sending newsletters

Your email address and first name are saved. The storage of your data is for an indefinite period. You can unsubscribe at any time by sending an e-mail to info@therightadvice.nl.
If you contact our office by e-mail, you will be contacted by email, such as your name, company name, and e-mail address, stored on the mail server. These mails are retained for a maximum of 10 years on the basis of legal obligations and/or professional rules.
The data obtained via the contact form on the website are kept for a maximum of 2 months.

b. Google Analytics

The data collected by Google Analytics on the website is anonymous, not associated with your name, company or email address. This data is kept for an indefinite period by Google Analytics.

c. Providing training

The data for the provision of training are retained for a maximum of 10 years on the basis of legal obligations and/or professional rules.

5. Security

No physical copies are made of your personal data. Your data is only managed in the aforementioned systems and software.
The personal data that is managed by our office or by the aforementioned third parties are only accessible through the above software and are password-protected and where possible with two-factor authentication.
The devices that open your data are also locked with a password and/or fingerprint. The number of devices accessing your data is limited to only the necessary devices.

6. Your rights

a. Right of access

You have the right to request at all times your data that is recorded and stored at our office. You can do this by sending an e-mail or contacting our office by phone. You will get an overview of your data.

b. Right to rectification

If your data are not correct of when they have changed, you have the right to have this corrected by our office.

c. Right to transfer

Should you need the data stored at our office in case you switch to another party or service, you have the right to transfer. Our office must transfer all your data to the other party.

d. Right to erase data

Do you no longer want your data to be recorded at our office? Then you have the right to have your data erased.

e. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, if you feel that our office does not handle your data appropriately.

f. Right to stop data usage (objection)

Do you not want our office to use your data? You have the right to discontinue the use of your personal data.
The use of these rights can be communicated via info@therightadvice.nl under the transmission of a copy ID-proof where the passport photo, the numbers at the bottom of the passports, ID-proof number and BSN are rendered unreadable.

7. Duties

Our office processes personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest, namely a commercial interest such as offering services or products from our office via email. Your data will never be sold to third parties.
The data required to deliver are the minimum data required to provide the services or products. For example, your email address is needed to send the newsletter. If these mandatory data are not provided, our office cannot offer the relevant service.
If it is necessary to share data that you have shared with our office with others than the parties mentioned above, your consent will be requested first.
Our office reserves the right to disclose the data when required by law or when our office deems it justified to comply with a legal request/process or to respect the rights, property or safety of the to protect our office. We always try to respect your right to privacy as much as possible.
